Mission

The Northcoast Marine Mammal Center promotes ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation, public education, and community collaboration.

What We Do

We respond to stranded, sick, and injured marine mammals along the northern coast of California. Most of our patients are young seals and sea lions that are treated and rehabilitated at our facility in Crescent City. Larger animals, like adult seals and sea lions, are too large to bring into rehabilitation and may be treated in the field. Larger still are the whales we respond to, out in the open ocean, that are entangled in fishing gear. Regardless of size, our goal is always to give the marine mammals we rescue a second chance at life in the wild.

Please consider making a tax deductible donation so that we may continue the work we do by clicking here.  Every dollar makes a difference!

The Northcoast Marine Mammal Center is a private, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
